Craft Tyranny (aka Craftocracy of Evil) is a state where the power of craft is not in the hands of the crafting crowd, but under the control of craft tyrants and pirates, a very common example being Yarn Tyranny.

Craft Tyrants (aka The Craft Cartel) are manufacturers of craft supplies that are closely associated with pattern publishers, or producers of crafting machinery. Those manufacturers are doing everything to keep their clients from using supplies produced by other craft suppliers.
